Things To Note

Our clinical case notes are meant to record client’s attendance at appointments, but beyond that we offer clients a choice as to what is recorded in our case notes.

“We have a small and significant number of transgender and nonbinary identifying clients. As an organization we work to ensure that all people feel seen and respected, including but not limited to respecting everyone’s pronouns and offering an accessible/all gender washroom. SASC staff are actively supportive of transgender and non-binary folks and work to build understanding of how we can support people in the best ways possible.; Being transgender friendly is very important to our Centre and reflects the Core Values of our organization.”

Accreditation

Many of our counsellors are MSW’s, RSW’s and trained in EMDR

SPECTRUM acknowledges the truth that we are situated on the Haldimand Tract, which is the traditional land of Haudenosaunee and Mississauga Anishinaabe nations. We also recognise the Chinonton Peoples of what has come to be known as the Neutral Nations, a people entirely eliminated by the colonisation of this land. Read the complete statement here.
